JSA is a technically skilled and detail-oriented civil engineering firm that provides professional services to land developers. Our staff has "hands on" experience problem solving various aspects of the development process. Historically, we have worked with our developer clients from acquisition to construction.

Title Information relating to Encumbrances
The Civil Engineer will review the title report, note encumbrances, and map easements, research proposed and existing General Plan designations and zoning, prepare an ALTA survey for extended coverage, report on existing flood hazard zones or prepare studies if there is a potential for a flood hazard, and prepare a topographic map of the subject property.

Appropriate design and accurate survey are important to any landfill project. A civil engineer can coordinate and lead the project team that would provide the following services to the landfill owner. Except where otherwise noted, services can be provided by JSA.

JSA has over a decade of service and a proven track record providing civil engineering, planning, and survey support services for capital improvement projects at the county, municipal, and assessment district level. JSA has to date provided over $88,000,000.00 worth of support services. Our success is due to our staff's ability to listen to agency needs and criteria, and translate them into an appropriate design. By being responsive to these needs, JSA has built a successful working relationship with many local government agencies.
JSA has roots in various communities that go back many years. Our staff has been active in supporting the development of many cities. JSA has a solid base of knowledge and experience with which to successfully perform civil engineering, planning, and surveying services required by any agency. In addition, JSA has shown a true willingness to adapt to a city's procedures and schedules, and an ability to establish a leadership role as needed by the city. Our attitude has produced positive relationships with agency directors and staff, and clients.
In addition to the usual agency processing, JSA has experience with projects having site specific issues requiring negotiations that hinge upon relationships with special agencies, such as FEMA, Santa Monica Mountain Conservancy, Corps of Engineers, etc., and the abililty to assist the owners in the processing and approval process with these agencies. JSA also has experience providing services for landfill operations and hazardous waste facility rehabilitation (superfund) sites. Services onthese projects have necessitated our becoming familiar with environmental issues and regulating agency requirements. Services are performed in a manner that is sensitive to the needs of the site operations, as well as the surrounding communities and agencies.
COMPUTER EQUIPMENT AND CAPABILITIES
Advanced Engineering and Consulting uses a combination of Bentley's InRoads, PowerCivil, and microStation to provide the best service to our clients. A large document black and white Ricoh plotter/scanner and an HP color plotter are used to provide both the engineering and survey maps and plats as well as color exhibits. All staff members are versed in the use and operation of this equipment.
