JSA provides full service surveying to compliment engineering project teams. JSA survey crews have over 30 years experience in residential, commercial, and industrial subdivision construction survey functions. They are adept at ALTA and aerial control staking, and have performed technical quality control surveys for cut and fill operations. The surveyors are also certified to work in areas containing hazards materials, such as Superfund clean-up sites. In addition, JSA's Director of Survey and Mapping is a Licensed Land Surveyor.

    JSA surveyors use Geodimeter robotic total stations and Leica GPS that is fully integrated with the office CAD software. Party chiefs also have portable laptop computers for use in the field. These laptops have the ability to receive information from the data collectors, process the information, and transfer data to and receive data from the main computers in the office via their built in modems. This integration enables JSA to provide its clients with prompt, accurate, and reliable field survey and mapping services.

    JSA has roots in various communities that go back many years. Our staff has been active in supporting the development of many cities. JSA has a solid base of knowledge and experience with which to successfully perform civil engineering, planning, and surveying services required by the cities. In addition, JSA provides a willingness to adapt to a city's procedures and schedules, and an ability to establish a leadership role as needed by the city.

    In addition, JSA's field crews are supervised by certified party chiefs, each with a minimum of ten years experience. JSA has the capability of hiring and managing additional crews, if the need arises. JSA also employs a full time computer programmer who can modify existing software to be compatible with the client's requirements.
